Mandy and Stuart
Stuart, is a totally different individual and hates doing what others do. Hence the reason he chose to propose to me one evening at home, with his daughter present, rather than the conventional romantic evening of ‘wining and dining’. Obviously it was totally unexpected, before a night of fun at Ten Pin Bowling... A truly memorable day, naturally with lots of happy tears.
Our wedding preparations were stress-free, with thanks to Natalie from NDG Events. We thoroughly enjoyed making various selections from invitations, to décor, to menu, with our wedding planner, and most important of all was the making of my dress. With this being my second wedding, I had free reign when it came to the colour of my dress, and all along I knew I wanted silver and similarly chose silver décor with lots of bling bling. From day one, Stuart wanted to get married at Erinvale Hotel and Spa, which has a beautiful chapel on the premises, so choosing a venue was also ‘hassle free’.
I woke up to a gloriously sun shiny day, which is unusual for May. The morning of our wedding I relaxed with a wonderful massage, thereafter shared champagne with girl friends, as I had my hair and make-up done.
The moment arrived and as the day should be, ran absolutely smoothly without any hick-ups, once again thanks to Natalie. My dad walked me down the aisle, as I shed tears at the thought of my Mom not being around to share in this happy occasion. However, the minute I reached my Prince charming, it was as though all my fears were removed, and I was able to focus on this wonderful celebration. The ceremony was short and sweet, and even humorous...
We went off to have photographs taken in the gardens while the guests enjoyed canapés and champagne and orange juice. Thereafter, we entered the reception, in absolute awe, as we had not seen the décor or room set up prior to the ceremony. The tables looked amazing with ‘all that glitters and sparkles’ and our main table was beautiful, so elegantly decorated. We opted for a buffet, which was delicious, rather than a set menu, in order for there to be a wide variety for our guests. Desserts are an absolute favourite of mine, but the crème de la crème was our wedding cake, and cup cakes , both topped with Lindt balls and fairy glitter, which were ‘to die for’. So much so that our guests still talk about the amazing cupcakes from our wedding.
THEN THE PARTY BEGAN...need I say more, besides the fact that the DJ / music was brilliant?
WHAT A DAY TO REMEMBER... we had a truly PERFECT experience and certainly a day to remember for the rest of our lives. This would not have been possible without the help of NDG Events. Their professionalism, attention to detail and most definitely perfectionism, made this a spectacular day. Their services were greatly appreciated.
