Angela and Rob
When Rob proposed to me, he had to ask me twice, because I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My best friend wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and I felt like the luckiest woman in the world. The celebrations that night went on till the very early hours of the morning with friends. According to Rob, I woke up with a smile on my face when I saw the ring on my finger. It wasn't a dream!
We chose to get married in Langebaan as I have many wonderful childhood memories there and because of its charm, we knew that all of our guests would enjoy their time there.
Living in the UK proved to be more difficult to arrange a wedding across the world and to find vendors we could trust. To add to the challenge, the venue we had chosen was a charming, empty shell which needed to be furnished from top to bottom. 6 months to D-day and we finally gave in and realised we needed help. This is where Natalie came in.
Natalie was so brilliant! She immediatly got the ball rolling and was super organised. She understood what our vision was and offered some fabulous and creative ideas to make our day even more special. Aspects that we never even thought of or that we though were impossible to achieve. Natalie kept in constant contact with us through out the months leading up to our day.
Natalie made us feel as if she was as excited about our day as we were. The weather was perfectly cool with a clear, blue sky and not a breath of wind. Natalie had arranged a very talented make-up artist and hair stylist and while my lovely bridesmaids were being made up, I had a stroll with my father on the beach.
When our bouquets arrived they were absolutely gorgeous and I knew that the church and venue flowers would be equally gorgeous.
My darling grandfather drove my father and I to the chapel and there waiting was Natalie with a big smile. I walked down the aisle on a white runner, between the wooden pews decorated with cream roses and there standing at the altar was gorgeous husband to be.
Trying not to cry was difficult and my knees were literally shaking under my dress. Our minister, Jac, was friendly and kind, and delivered a memorable service. When walking back up the aisle and out the doors, the bell was rung and passer-byers hooted a cheer.
Walking into the venue was beyond anything we could have imagined. From the lovely lighting, the gorgeous rose arrangements, to the delicious traditional South African food. The romantic vision we had described to Natalie had been achieved and was even more beautiful and magical than we could have imagined.
I know we could not have gone through the day with all the emotions we felt without some help. Having Natalie there "taking care of things" put us at ease and our day ran so smoothly, that we got on and enjoyed the party and our guests.
Even the staff who worked at the venue mentioned that it was the best wedding that they had had at the venue. Family and friends still comment today, a year later, on how much they loved our wedding and so did we. Thanks to Natalie our celebration was amazing and more than we could have asked for. We didn't want the night to end.
