About the Proposal
He proposed to me a day before my 30th whilst abseiling off Table mountain which i would never do again and it was a very beautiful way of asking me nearly falling me to my death , but it was different and wonderful. We then went for a 2hour horse ride on kommetjie beach and stayed at Monkey Valley Resort. It was a perfect birthday and what a party was had the following day.
How far in advance did you choose to have your wedding after the proposal? And, why?
1 year 3 mnths as both coming from a decor industry background with loads of work and we wanted to get married on our anniversary – so was a perfect time

It was all taken care of from Theme creations with great skills and patients and they outdid themselves and every detail was stunning.
Did you have a hen party / kitchen tea / stag night / bachelor / bachelorette party? If so, what did you do and what did you enjoy most about it?
We had the hen night at our home , where it was a pole dancing lesson , lovely snacks , a stripper as one does and a whole lot of fun ...clean fun
Bachelors – also at home with boxing inflatable ring with a keg and a spit and what a night those boys had
Wedding Details
It started at 4pm I was at a guest house getting dressed with my bridesmaids and then we left for some photos and arrived 15 min late. The ceremony was a blur to me before I knew it was finished and all I knew I was married to my best friend, and had a husband. We went off some stunning photos and returned to the hall with all our family and friends there. Every moment was unforgettable and memorable. The decor was stunning and red roses where everywhere. We had all the speeches which where amazing and touched our hearts and they were from amazing people. Sitting there looking out with 200 eyes on us was unforgettable. The cake was amazing and Charlie’s bakery out did themselves?
It was a perfect first dance and from there on it was just a fantastic night with great comments all round and a fantastic wedding and still get compliments how perfect the day was and we can with no doubt say it was outstanding .
Tips and / or advice for future bridal couples?
Do not stress and take it all in , stand back for 5 min on the night and soak it up....before you know it’s the end
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
The ceremony – as it changed me from being with someone to being with someone for ever and I will love him forever each day more than the last. I also loved that we had our dog Guinness in our wedding photos.
Did you go on honeymoon? If so, where? And, why there?
We went to botlierskop in Mosselbay it was stunning and so relaxing and we did a few travels up the garden route and memories never to be forgotten.
