It was christmas morning 2010. We’ve been together almost 7 years and had talked about getting engaged for the past 3 years, but I had no idea he was going to “pop the question” yet. I was in the kitchen, making coffee, while he was opening his christmas gift, when suddenly he was right next to me. We are a very joking couple and not very traditional or “old school”. He stood there staring at me until I asked him what he wanted, he then took out a box from behind his back and said: “Will you marry me already?”
