My fiance (then boyfriend… ) and I went on a ski holiday in Austria at the end of 2010. He arranged an evening sleigh ride in the woods close to the town we were staying in. We were on our way to a restaurant in the woods when the horse-drawn sleigh suddenly stopped and he proposed, gorgeous 5-diamond ring in hand! It was the perfect setting – us, alone on the sleigh in a fairytale white landscape with trees and distant twinkling lights all around…
