Martin and I went on holiday to Peru in South America in May last year. The first leg of our journey was a stop off in Argentina, then we went to Lima, the capital of Peru, a few other amazing places and then off to the magical Inca Trail where we hiked for four days to get to Machu Picchu, which means Ancient Mountain. Machu Picchu is a city built on a mountain about 500 years ago by the Inca\’s and was abandoned when the Inca’s feared invasion by the Spanish. Martin proposed to me at the top of Machu Picchu, overlooking Llamas grazing on the green grass between the beautiful ruins and amazing scenery of the surrounding mountains. It was a picture perfect proposal!
