Over Easter weekend this year, my fiancee and I went camping close to Oudsthoorn. He had our whole itinerary planned and on this particular day, we went to the Cango Wildlife Ranch. We joined the scheduled group tour through the park and then he suggested that we visit the cheetah cubs for a private interaction. I was extremely excited as I love animals. When we entered the cheetah area, we first were photographed with two cubs lying in the shade and then moved on to Kit Kat, who was lying on a tree stump. I saw the red ribbon around her neck but as I wasn’t expecting anything, didn’t put two and two together. As I was stroking Kit Kat, my fiancee, Lionel told me to look closer at the cub. It was then that I saw the small black box tied to the ribbon! When I opened it it was empty and when I turned around, Lionel was on one knee with my dream ring in his hand. He asked me to make his life complete by becoming his wife and as the tears streamed down my face I of course accepted!!
