My fiancé, Nathan, visited me last year for the summer holidays. On Christmas Eve I was woken up by tasty smells coming from the kitchen. Nathan was preparing breakfast but I had no idea what a special breakfast it would become. He served chilled champagne with fried viennas and scrabbled eggs with toast on a tray filled with red rose petals. He walked towards me, knelt on one knee and started to read me a love poem he created just for me. He’s proposal was in the poem. Once he got to the end of the poem, he presented me with a beautiful white gold ring. I cried a lot because I was taken by surprise and filled with joy. Of course I said yes and he has now relocated to Cape Town. We are getting married on 18th December 2010 in Port Elizabeth.
