My boyfriend had the day planned to the T. Nice fire, wine and music in the background. He invited my mother and his mother for a braai, but that was just to keep me in the house while he got everything ready outside. Somewhere there was a miss communication between him and my mother. He had the perfect song on and called me outside. He then told me how much he loved me and that I am the only woman for him.

As he was about to ask me, my mother walked out, sat down and started to eat her food. It was funny! I didn’t know what was going on as I could see that he was trying to get her attention to ask her to leave the entertainment area. Well, he didn’t get her attention so he asked me to tell her to please go in, because he needs to talk to me.

So I ask her to go and when I turned around he was standing with the ring in his hand and smiled. I didn’t even give him time to ask! I just said yes and started to giggle. I couldn’t even tell my mother or his mother. Best night ever.
