Shopping for a wedding gift has never been easier.  Selecting a bridal registry should be done early in the wedding planning process. We recommend that you register three to six months before the wedding.

This is a free service and makes gift buying much easier for your guests. At the same time a registry provides you with the opportunity of choosing gifts you truly love. Selecting items on your registry should be a joint effort between you and your Fiancé. 

Most wedding guests will want to give a gift to celebrate your new marriage, but it's impolite to imply that a gift must be given.  It is important not to mention gifts on your wedding invitations. You can, however, ask your shower hosts/bridesmaids to include a card in your shower invitations that say "Please see our wedding registry at www.cinnamonsue.co.za.” You can also advise close friends, relatives and members of the bridal party to spread the word verbally.

Register for things you really want or need, without worrying too much about the price. Some guests enjoy buying items in the lower price ranges, whilst other guests like to group together to purchase the bigger items. 

Revisit your registry often and update it with additional selections as products are purchased, to give guests a range from which to choose.

Gifts received before the wedding should be acknowledged within two weeks of receipt.  For any gifts sent on or after the wedding day, we recommend that thank-you notes be sent within a month after your return from honeymoon.  In all notes, be sure to mention the gift by name.
