Overview

As Hannes I live for making images that people and companies love. That is what I was born to do and quite good at. For most that might sound like a cliché, but in my case it is true. To have passion is to have a powerful feeling about something, whether it is love, anger or joy. It is to show boundless enthusiasm - exactly what I have when it comes to photography. I just express myself better that way.

Apart from being the head clicker of Hannes Uys Photography I don’t only have a love for weddings but I am also a successful industrial photographer. I am the person that companies call to make multi-million rand projects look good.   This year I was asked by one of South Africa’s top publishers, Masterskill, to write a book on digital photography. I have also been the illustrator of Event Management – Putting Theory into Practice, A South African Approach (ISBN 978-0-9869767-0-4 (Rev.1.0)) and the pages are adorned with my photography on events. I have also written on the subject.

For any photographer to be successful I believe he or she must have the following:

• Vision
• Creativity
• A good relationship with the client
• Flexibility
