Wedding Photography

Monica Dart qualified as a photographer in London where she specialised in Fine Art photography. Her Fine Art photographs have been exhibited in the UK, France and South Africa. She has worked in the music industry in the UK photographing bands and this is where she learned to shoot quickly. Having moved back to South Africa several years ago after sixteen years abroad living in the UK, USA, Asia and Israel, Monica has turned her artistic flair into photographing weddings.

During the South African winter, Monica photographs weddings and photographic commissions abroad. Her innate sense of style and easy-going personality is reflected in her work which is intimate and emotive. Monica uses professional Canon digital equipment and offers several package options with prints, handmade traditional albums or Coffee table / Storybook albums. All her packages include a hi-res DVD of edited images.

Photographic Style

“My style leans towards a fusion of Reportage taken in a journalistic style - moments captured spontaneously as well as some naturally composed photo's of the couple and intimate details. Most of my inspiration for my photography comes from the cinematography in foreign films combined with my love of traveling and meeting new people.“ Monica's work has been published in various magazines such as “Wedding Album”, “Western Cape Wedding Guide”, “The Little Pink Book” and “Discovery” magazine.
