Overview
Exchange vows under the age-old oak trees in Beloftebos. This romantic and dreamy venue in the heart of the fynbos flower kingdom near Stanford in the Overberg, is the ideal setting to host your ceremony as well as reception.
These oaks form a grove that is situated just beyond the farmhouse, near the banks of the Paardenberg River. The leaves of the huge oaks form a natural green roof that is dense enough for the legal signing of the register! Antique church benches and straw bales as seats, an oak-stump pulpit and a red carpet for the isle create a platform for a beautiful and authentic ceremony.
This 'green chapel' was voted one of the Top Five Most Outrageous Chapels in South Africa by Wedding Collection Magazine in 2008.
Sumptious menus are created using natural and organic farm-grown produce. The Beloftebos team of chefs includes Corneli de Villiers, owner of Deli Delights and Catering in Hermanus and Coia de Villiers, former lecturer at the Institute of Culinary Arts, the renowned chef school at Spier, Stellenbosch. Former sous chef at five star Arabella Sheraton Hotel Leonard Fernandez completes the team. He was trained at Warrick's chef's school in Hermanus.
Beloftebos offers the service of coordinating the whole experience - from renting a bedouin or marquee tent to having a donkey cart as a wedding carriage. We also offer accommodation on the farm and in the immediate area.
Let your special day become an unforgettable weekend!
