Overview

The BREEDE ESCAPE wedding venue is situated in the Bonnievale area and offers the wedding venue as well as accommodation on the same farm. Two River Camps accommodate guests attending weddings on the farm or other guests visiting the area to relax. The air conditioned venue seats maximum 180 guests without dancing and 150 guests with. Guests stay at the River Camps in 2 or 4 bedded sleeping huts, each camp with it's own indoor braai, campfire spot, volleyball court, trampoline and lapa area with fully equipped kitchen.

The wedding venue at BREEDE ESCAPE is situated in a water featured garden with lovely mountain views from the garden, the open wooden decks and the reception area with 11 sliding doors ! Good weather, rainy days, we always enjoy ! Cash bar available and laminated dance floor.  Bring your own table wine, no extra corkage ! We see to the logistics, manage and supply the waiters and play the background music for you.

On arrival we welcome guests under the old oak trees with a drink and after the garden ceremony we serve a choice of three house drinks in the garden. Guests mingle in the garden while we normally serve canapés prepared by the chef of the day. Group photos can be done in the garden and the shoot of the couple in the area as well as in the garden. We also do spit braais.

Your special day needs to be special and relaxed for you ! We would love to help you enjoy it while we see to all the necessary. As the hours pass by guests enjoy the open sliding doors, the fresh farm air and the company of family and friends on the open wooden decks.

Make a wedding weekend if you want with up to 50 of your guests staying on the farm. River Camps situated right on the banks of the Breede River.

RATES AS FOLLOWS:

• River Camp I ( sleeps 24 in 6 sleeping huts each with a double and 2 single beds, toilet and basin inside ) @ R5500 / weekend for all
• River Camp 2 ( sleeps 16 in 8 sleeping huts each with 2 single beds, no toilet and basin inside, use ablution facility at River Camp 2 which is only shared by your own group of friends ) @ R4000 / weekend for all.
• Camping for about 10 extra guests allowed at River Camp 2 as part of your group @ no extra cost.
• On June and July weekends we offer a 20 % winter discount
• Week nights in school holidays @ R150 to R300 / sleeping hut per night ideal for smaller groups, but still with exclusive use of the River Camp
• Week nights out of school holidays @ R100 / adult and R50 / school going child, still with exclusive use of the River Camp

WEDDING FEE FOR THE VENUE CALCULATED AS FOLLOWS:

• Basic venue fee @ R5000 for use of the facility
• Further R40 pp fee for the reception
• Garden ceremony @ R20 pp
• Menu quoted separately according to your needs and the final menu.
• You need to arrange your own table decorations and flowers as well as DJ.
• No extra costs involved, no corkage, no cash bar fee, no hiring fee for glasses, table cloths, serviettes etc.
