Privacy Policy

Celebration South Africa (“Celebration”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.celebration.co.za, how we use it, and the choices you have. We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Information we collect

Information you give us. If you contact us or submit a form (for example an enquiry or newsletter sign-up), we collect the details you choose to provide, such as your name and email address.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect basic technical data when you browse — including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to make the site work, to understand how visitors use it, and to support advertising. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and improve our content; it sets cookies and records usage data in aggregate. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser opt-out add-on.

Advertising

We may display advertising, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits. You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info/choices.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted third parties that may process limited data on our behalf or under their own policies:

  • Google (Analytics and AdSense) — privacy policy
  • Pinterest — where you interact with Pins or embedded Pinterest content — privacy policy
  • Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security for this website
  • Social platforms (Facebook, Instagram) where you follow or share our content

How we use information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve the website, respond to your enquiries, understand which content is useful, secure the site against abuse, and — where applicable — display relevant advertising. We do not sell your personal information.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@celebration.co.za. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is intended for adults planning weddings and celebrations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
