Wedding Poetry

Poetry is a beautiful means of self-expression. Whether written by you, or by an acclaimed author, it can express personal feelings and emotions in unrivalled ways. For this reason, some couples wish to include poetry in their wedding day, giving guests the opportunity to feel the depth of their passion and emotion as it is conveyed in vocal art.

Poetry can be used as part of the visual representation of your big day. So, it can be printed on your invitations, place setting cards, menus, programmes or thank you notes. Alternatively, it can also be used as part of your vows or your reception speeches, when you are able to express the sentiments in a personal, direct way. Ask someone else (perhaps the father of the bride or the best man) to narrate your favourite poem if you would prefer to enjoy it along with your audience.

Although each author, style and poem is different, the best known romantic poets of all time undoubtedly remain Blake, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Byron, Shelley, and Keats. Their works are sure to provide brides-and grooms-to-be with the ideal choice of poetry to express their heartfelt love.
