Wood is one of nature’s most beautiful gifts for us to use and enjoy. It is practical, aesthetically attractive and flexible in terms of the number of uses that it offers. Couples that love the outdoors and want to incorporate it into their wedding day may choose a wood theme for their special day.

This wedding theme can be fairly easy to implement if you choose to keep your furniture in its wooden form. If you want to have a relaxed outdoor affair, you could put colourful scatter cushions on logs around rustic wooden tables under the trees. If you choose to have a more formal wedding, use beautiful antique woods and designs for your furniture and benefit from the charm and elegance that they exude.

Here are some more ideas for your wood-themed wedding:

Use wooden signs as wedding props (perhaps etched with cute graffiti or messages), and for indicating to guests where they should go, where the bathrooms are, and so on.
Wooden jewellery can be every bit as tasteful and beautiful as some of the most expensive gems. Have the ladies in your entourage don these unique pieces for a really different look.
Include wooden twigs in your bouquets, or replace all of the flowers with different colours, textures and thicknesses or bark.
Create beautiful artworks out of wood, hiring a professional to etch your profiles or a touching message into wooden slabs.
Use wooden words as table centrepieces. Opt for words like “Love”, “Peace” and “Family”, for example.
